In this paper, novel schemes based on greedy algorithm are proposed to reduce the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. For each proposed scheme, a simple transformation is performed on the partial transmit sequences in an iterative fashion to lower the PAPR. Computer simulations results show that all the proposed schemes can achieve PAPR reductions, but the performances of the PAPR reduction are different. To further evaluate their PAPR reductions, we compare the proposed schemes with the iterative flipping scheme. The results show that when the number of sub blocks is not large, some of the proposed schemes can offer better PAPR reduction performance than the iterative flipping scheme with comparable computational complexity. We propose an enhanced version of iterative flipping algorithm to efficiently reduce the PAPR of the OFDM signal. An adjustable parameter is chose based on the performance. Simulation results show that this new technique gives good performance with significantly lower complexity compared with the ordinary PTS scheme. Keywords

Objectives: To retrieve the information after analyzing the contents of the documents which are stored in the desktop by applying string matching algorithms. Methods/Statistical Analysis: To analyze the content of the documents, the various pattern matching algorithms are used to find all the occurrences of a limited set of patterns within an input text or input document. In order to perform this task, this research work used four existing string matching algorithms; they are Brute Force algorithm, Knuth-Morris-Pratt algorithm (KMP), Boyer Moore algorithm and Rabin Karp algorithm. This work also proposes three new string matching algorithms. They are Enhanced Boyer Moore algorithm, Enhanced Rabin Karp algorithm and Enhanced Knuth-Morris-Pratt algorithm. Findings: For experimentation, this work has used two types of documents, i.e. .txt and .docx. Performance measures used are search time, number of iterations and accuracy. From the experimental results, it is realized that the enhanced KMP algorithm gives better accuracy compared to other string matching algorithms. Application/Improvements: Normally, these algorithms are used in the field of text mining, document classification, content analysis and plagiarism detection. In future, these algorithms have to be enhanced to improve their performance and the various types of documents will be used for experimentation. Keywords

The present study deals with isolation, identification and characterization of heavy metal resistant bacteria isolated from effluent of Ezar Tanneries, Vaniyambadi, Vellore district, South India. Initially, a total of 11 bacterial isolates were screened on Luria Bertani (LB) agar plates supplemented with 5 mg/l concentration of five different heavy metal ions such as Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn separately. A best microorganism was selected based on high level of heavy metal tolerance. On the basis of morphological, biochemical characterization, the isolates were identified as Staphylococcus aureus. The identified isolates were resistant to Cu and Pb. Staphylococcus aureus showed optimum growth at 30°C and pH 6.5. The identified heavy metal resistant Staphylococcus aureus could be useful for the bioremediation of heavy metal contaminated sewage and waste water. Keywords

This paper presents the design and the development of Surveillance System Using Raspberry Pi. This system Detects Fire and People who is Combative (one who is fighting and arguing with someone) in real-time and sends the alert message to user. The proposed Fire alarm system is a real-time monitoring system that detects the presence of smoke in the air due to fire and captures images via a camera installed inside a room when a fire occurs. The output of the proposed system is based on the threshold value and the controller sends the signals to GSM. The key feature of the system has the ability to remotely send an alert whenever a fire or Combat person is detected.
